Some Crepe Paper Pictures

The School Holidays Are Nearly Over

As much as I love my kids, I am discovering that school holidays don't gel too well. Andrew seems to cope better with 1 week off and Rebecca is about the same as far as her putting up with him at home. Kelly doesn't care too much as long as no one annoys her. The kids and I haven't completed everything on the holiday list yet. Still have to finish the phrase books and make chocolate crackles. Andrew's busy tomorrow morning so Rebecca and I can do her bit on the phrases. We will try and make the chocolate crackles on Monday.

Scrapbooking went out the window for 2 weeks although I have started a LO.

My youngest niece (Katelyn) stayed overnight last night so she did some quilling and I added to my new LO. Shopping was this morning then came home and did a few things. Katelyn continued to stay on and we ended up playing Monopoly after dinner. Katelyn made a LO for me; will take a pic of it tomorrow and post it up later. Anyways, it's late; hopefully I'll be back again tomorrow night.

The Big W Toy Spectacular Sale

My goodness!! This morning at Big W was like Boxing Day!! Busy busy busy. Thank goodness I left the kids with my sister. It was bedlam!! The line up for the layby department was around every corner (well...not every corner) and almost out the door. So glad I didn't layby; at least I got through the checkout in no time. Andrew and Rebecca have still yet to have their birthdays', so their birthday presents have already been bought and thought that I may as well get their chrissy presents at the same time. Didn't buy anything for Kelly; she's already had her birthday and by Christmas her interests would have changed so I'll find some things throughout the year for her.

Andrew is going to be so excited come birthday and christmas; between Star Wars, Transformers and Ben 10, I don't think he's going to know what to do with himself.

Rebecca will be quite happy with her innings. All little girly things of course.

Andrew started cutting out stuff for his phrase books this afternoon. Will continue with that tomorrow. Might even make pikelets for afternoon tea; we have some visitors coming over.

Tomorrow I'll upload a couple LOs.

We Finally Did It!!!

Much to my relief, Andrew and Rebecca behaved themselves while we finished off the Crepe Paper pictures. Kelly was happy to sit in her high chair and watch the proceedings. Took some pics but will upload just one for now.

Tomorrow we're going into the shops to buy birthday presents for the kids and look at what we might be able to get them for Christmas. Big W are having a Toy Spectacular Sale so we would like to take advantage of the savings. Maybe in the afternoon we might be able to get a start on the Phrase books. Shall let you know how things go!!!

What A Day

Well, we started the Crepe Paper pictures this morning after morning tea. I have finally discovered that I can't have Andrew and Rebecca working on the same thing at the same time at the same table!!! They fought over the crepe paper, had races to see who could scrunch up the most balls.... this list goes on. The racing is fine but I had to do the balls all over again as they weren't really balls. Ended up being quite stressed about it. Kelly, the 14 month old decided to be a thorn in Rebecca's side the whole time too. I guess she thought she was missing out on something. We (Rebecca and I) managed to get her bumble bee done. Once the pictures are done I'll take a pic and post it up.

Tommorow, Andrew can sit at a little table off the side with his paper and picture and Rebecca can sit at the big table; I have to supervise her with the glue. Just imagine the mess otherwise!! Andrew did manage to go to the flicks to watch Transformers....just.... He nearly missed out. We let him go with him understanding that it was only because he had the last week and a half of being so good at school. Next Tuesday I'm taking him to see Ice Age 3 however I'm not telling him. I'm feeling that the flicks bribery doesn't work; it seems to make him a little feral. Andrew has only been to the flicks not even 5 times so maybe there is too much excitement??

Here's hoping that tomorrow is a much better day. Might even grab the laptop, dog and take the kids to the park. Mmmm maybe my youngest niece might like to come too.

Oh What A Day - Andrew's Dental Appointment

Well, today was Andrew's dental appointment; one he should have had about 2 years ago!!! Doesn't time fly. A couple years ago he was racing around the concrete on one of those toddler cars and he came a gutsa face first into the concrete. After the blood and screaming stopped I was able to see the damage and saw that his 2 top front teeth were a little loose. After some rigmarole, got him to our dentist and was told that both of them were likely to be pulled out but first we'll try and save them. They ended up coming out. He STILL has the toothless gap and finally got him to the dentist; TODAY. Apparently everything is going according to plan. The new ones will be out soon, they appear on the x-ray to be perfect and he has a mouthful of perfect teeth. Much to my relief. Andrew was very good at the dentist those couple years and was very good today; I'm proud of him. The dentist wanted to get Rebecca on the chair to get her used to him, but she wouldn't have a bar of opening her mouth. I had to sit on the chair with her sitting me though.

Went shopping after that, and Andrew and Rebecca went feral. It was like Andrew may have been a little tense to start with and with the dentist over, he just went ape. Oh dear.....we aren't off to a very good start. Has to be very good at home tomorrow; it's Transformer night at the flicks. I shall start my list of things to do and hopefully it will be enough to keep him distracted???

So far my list of Things To Do:

**Make Chocolate Crackles (will Toffee flavoured Crunchy Nut Cornflakes instead of Rice Bubbles).
**Make Mini Muffins.
**Make some Phrase Books.
**Andrew likes Star Wars and has the basic lego that he likes to make ships out of. I have promised to take a group photo of all his ships that he will make.
**Make Crepe paper pictures.

That's it so far....oh and by the way, I won't be doing all this in one day. LOL!!!

Bought some Die Cuts With A View paper and a couple little paper kits today. Have some LOs in mind. Although I do have some unfinished ones that should be completed!!

Well that's it for today. I really do hope for Andrew's sake that he his good tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
